Decorative Knots

There are twelve more knots (as well as the button knot) which make up the basic Chinese knots. They can be combined to make beautiful complex combination knots but they are not covered here as they are not so suitable for making jewelry.

As you can see in the gallery of knots some of these knots are large and showy and just one can make a lovely centrepiece for a necklace or earrings. Others are smaller and more discreet, and more suitable for making the sides of a necklace.
